YEAR 4

Welcome back everyone to Term 4, the year has flown by! The students have all come back to school excited and ready to learn. It’s been good to see most students completed their holiday online homework.

Ayaan, Feyza, Asher and Hamza A have been working hard and studying in preparation for the Maths Olympiad in Melbourne on the 24th October. We wish them the best of luck for this competition and congratulations on all of their hard work and high results.

The years 4’s and 5’s were very lucky to participate in a clinic with Abraham from the Melbourne City Football Club. The students have really enjoyed these sessions and have participated very well.

Melbourne City Football Club

For the last few weeks we have had some visits from Abraham from the Melbourne City Football Club.

He gave us booklets about healthy eating and lifestyles. We had to record our daily food intake and to plan a healthy menu and diet. This was very interesting. We had to fill in a health survey about our healthy or non-healthy eating choices.

After, we went outside to play soccer and some games. We learnt different games and activities to play as a team, such as European Handball. First we played soccer. There were 4 teams Brazil, Portugal, France and Argentina. France and Argentina played off first and we won 1:0

The second team was Portugal, we had a tie 0:0. The third team was France and we beat that team 1:0.

We had 10 more minutes left. So we played a new game called European Handball. This game was new to us but we were pretty good at it. We won. We had an awesome time with Abraham and we all hope he comes back for more lessons.
